Every project site has unique conditions that influence design decisions. We will study your site or a potential property to determine its assets, problems, and potentials. Existing topography, landscaping, orientation, and views are some of the issues we will explore on your behalf. The character of the surrounding neighborhood and buildings are also taken into consideration.

ZONING & SITE PLAN ISSUES
James Weill & Associates has over 23 years of experience in the field of zoning analysis and site plan and variance approval issues. We will conduct a thorough analysis of local zoning requirements to determine their impact on the design of your project. We will prepare all required plans and assist you with filing any required applications. We will appear at public hearings of Planning Boards and Boards of Adjustment on your behalf.

DESIGN OF NEW BUILDINGS, HOMES, AND ADDITIONS
James Weill & Associates can provide you with a complete package of services in connection with the design of commercial, industrial, retail, educational, and residential projects. We are a design oriented firm who is also dedicated to providing our clients with the highest level of technical skills. All project work is carried out in accordance with your budget.

ALTERATIONS TO EXISTING FACILITIES AND HOMES
Over the last 23 years James Weill & Associates has prepared designs for hundreds of renovations and alterations to existing spaces, buildings, and homes. Types of projects have include new tenant fit-up, conversion of industrial buildings to office space, and the reconfiguration of existing spaces to meet new needs of our clients. In the residential area we have assisted many families in reconfiguring their homes to better accommodate their changing lifestyles. We have been involved in the design of new kitchens, master suites, and family rooms.

FEASIBILITY STUDIES
If you have a project that you are contemplating, we can prepare preliminary plans to determine if the site or building you are considering is suitable for your needs. We will evaluate parking requirements, flow, and the interrelationships between various functions and uses.

EXISTING BUILDING ASSESSMENT
If you have an existing building that you are looking at for your business, we can do an analysis of its structure, mechanical systems, and its general condition. We will assess its potential for meeting your needs and the costs that might be involved to achieve your goals.

ADA ANALYSIS & DESIGN
James Weill & Associates can analyze your facility for compliance with the Americans With Disabilities Act. We can make recommendations and prepare plans for making your building “barrier-free”.

INTERIOR DESIGN
Our firm can assist you with the selection of all finishes and furnishings for you facility. A total concept can be developed that includes all wall coverings, flooring, ceilings, furniture and fabric.

HISTORIC PRESERVATION
James Weill & Associates has for many years been involved with restoration and alterations to historic structures as well as sympathetic additions to traditional buildings. This work has been performed on both commercial and residential projects. In connection with the above we can assist our clients in obtaining approvals from local historic preservation commissions.

SPACE PLANNING
Space planning on commercial projects has been a major component of our practice over the years. We start by assessing your existing facility and taking inventory of furniture, areas, and uses. We then develop a program of your new requirements followed by the preparation of layouts for your redesigned existing space or your new space.

BUILDING CODE ANALYSIS
We can assist you in interpreting today’s complex building codes as they relate to your residential or commercial building. We endeavor to keep informed of code changes, and work with local building inspectors to resolve any problems.
